In 2024, Eyes for Africa and The Oromia health Bureau will open an Eye clinic at the Meki Hospital in the Oromia Region of Ethiopia.
This area has no access to eye care. With the support from Public and Private donations this means that people living and around Meki will have access to a full time trained ophthalmic nurse who will provide primary care, referrals and perform minor surgeries such as excision of chalazion and Tarsal plate rotation surgery.
